The short version
What you need to know.
- ANTHBOT recommends approximately 600m² of lawn; 900m² is the advertised maximum, not the recommendation.
- Selected Costco roadshows run October 2026–January 2027. No WA stop, exact event dates or promotional price is listed in the release.
- RTK plus four cameras avoids boundary wire. Confirm installation, passages, support and the written offer for your actual lawn.
A mower next to the bulk shopping
Going to Costco for groceries and coming home considering a robot mower feels entirely plausible. The useful question is whether the ANTHBOT Genie 600E suits your lawn, rather than whether it fits in the trolley.
ANTHBOT’s 19 October announcement says it and ANZ distributor UNIVERSE TIME are bringing the 600E to selected Australian Costco warehouses through in-store roadshows. Members are promised exclusive offers, live demonstrations and product specialists. This is a buying preview from published information; I have not tested this mower.
The release lists Auburn in October, Canberra across October–November, North Lakes in November and Casula in January 2027. Those are month windows, not appointment times. No WA stop is listed, and neither exact event dates nor a promotional price appears in the announcement. Confirm both before making the trip.
Measure the grass, not the block
The release recommends the Genie 600E for approximately 600 square metres of lawn, with a maximum mowing area of 900 square metres. The Australian product page also advertises the 900-square-metre maximum. Those figures are manufacturer claims, and they are not interchangeable buying targets.
Measure the areas you actually want cut. A 600-square-metre property does not have 600 square metres of grass once the house, driveway and paving have had their say. Sketch separate lawn sections and connecting passages, then take that sketch to the demonstration.
I would treat the recommended figure as the starting point and ask how your layout, grass growth and available mowing hours affect capacity. Buying right on a maximum leaves little room for the weeks when the lawn decides it has career ambitions.

Wire-free still needs a setup plan
ANTHBOT says the 600E combines RTK positioning with four-camera 3D AI vision, avoiding boundary wire. Its app offers automatic or remote-control mapping, schedules and management of up to 20 lawn zones. That removes the wire-laying job; it does not remove the need to check your site.
Ask the specialist where the RTK reference station and charging dock should go, what sky visibility is required, and how power reaches them. Show photos of trees, tall fences, covered areas and narrow side passages. Ask for a demonstration of mapping, no-go areas and travel between your separate lawns.
The release claims slopes up to 45%, or 24 degrees, and cutting heights from 30–70mm. A 45% slope is not 45 degrees. Ask how boundary slopes, slippery ground, steps and drop-offs change suitability. Four cameras are not permission to leave toys, pets or children in its working area.
Get the actual deal before deciding
Before paying, get a written quote for the exact 600E package. Confirm the dock, RTK equipment, cables and any mounting hardware included, plus installation costs if your site needs help. Check replacement blade and battery availability, warranty coverage, local servicing and who handles a fault.
Ask about connectivity requirements, any ongoing charges and the applicable Costco purchase and return conditions. Keep the roadshow offer separate from prices advertised by other sellers; there is no published Costco number here to call a bargain yet.
My shortlist would start with a manageable lawn around the recommended size, a confirmed installation plan and a useful demonstration. If your yard is awkward or approaches the advertised maximum, compare alternatives through our robot mower finder before committing. The best robot is the one that suits the garden you have, including the annoying bit down the side.
